Answer
On a visit to Hanover in June 1714, George I suffered a fatal heart attack while still on his horse. He had set off early that morning to visit electoral lands for the summer season, and after riding roughly 40 kilometers, took a break at the relay station of Alt-Bruchhausen. It was there that he tragically passed away in the early afternoon.
