George Marshall played cricket in the 19th century. He was a left-handed batsman who played for Lancashire and England. He made his debut for Lancashire in 1872 and played for the county until 1887. He also played for England in two Test matches in 1880. He was a very successful batsman, scoring over 5,000 runs in first-class cricket and over 1,000 runs in Test matches.
