Rob Portman succeeded George Voinovich as the United States senator from Ohio. He was elected in 2010 and served until 2023. Prior to his Senate tenure, Portman held various political positions, including as a member of the United States House of Representatives from 1993 to 2005, and as United States Trade Representative from 2005 to 2006.
