Ronna Romney McDaniel is the current chair of the Republican National Committee. She is the granddaughter of George W. Romney, who was the governor of Michigan from 1963 to 1969 and the 1968 Republican presidential nominee. McDaniel was elected to the position in January 2017. She is the first woman to serve as chair of the RNC.
