Georgi Dimitrov was born on May 1, 1931 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He was a Bulgarian Communist politician who served as the first General Secretary of the Bulgarian Communist Party from 1946 to 1954. He was also a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1952 to 1954.
