Emperor Geta, in full Publius Septimius Geta, was the younger son of Emperor Septimius Severus and his wife Julia Domna. He became co-emperor, with his older brother Caracalla, in 209 AD upon their father's death. However, their joint reign was short-lived, marked by tension and rivalry. In 211 AD, Caracalla treacherously orchestrated Geta's murder, leading to his sole rule.
