Answer
The Tây Sơn revolt was a series of peasant rebellions in southern Vietnam that began in 1771 and lasted until 1802. The rebels were led by the three brothers Nguyễn Nhạc, Nguyễn Huệ, and Nguyễn Lữ, who were from a poor peasant family in the central highlands of Vietnam. The revolt began as a protest against the oppressive rule of the Nguyễn lords, who had ruled southern Vietnam since 1698.
