Did Tartini write more symphonies or sonatas?

  • Sonatas

  • Symphonies

  • Neither

  • Both

Answer

Tartini wrote more sonatas than symphonies. He wrote over 400 sonatas, many of which were for the violin, and about 10 symphonies. His most famous sonata is the Devil's Trill Sonata, which is considered one of the most difficult and technically demanding pieces of music in the violin repertoire.
