Godfrey of Boulogne was the brother of Eustace III. He was a prominent leader during the First Crusade and became the first ruler of the Kingdom of Jerusalem after its conquest in 1099. Eustace III, Count of Boulogne, was Godfrey's younger brother and succeeded him as the Count of Boulogne and the Duke of Lower Lorraine.
