Born on June 18, Anastasia was the youngest daughter of Tsar Nicholas II and his wife, Tsarina Alexandra. She and her immediate family, along with several loyal retainers, were executed by a firing squad in 1918 by Bolshevik revolutionaries during the Russian Revolution, after the abdication of her father.
