Günther Adolf Ferdinand von Kluge was a German field marshal who served in World War I and World War II. He was one of the most successful German commanders in the early stages of World War II, but his fortunes changed after the Battle of Stalingrad. He was eventually dismissed from command after the Battle of Normandy and was arrested by the Allies after the war.
