Gustav Holst was born in 1874. He was an English composer, arranger, and teacher. He is best known for his orchestral suite The Planets, which was composed between 1914 and 1916. Holst also wrote a number of other orchestral works, including St. Paul's Suite and Egdon Heath, as well as choral works, chamber music, and songs.
