Guy Burgess, whose full name was Guy Francis de Moncy Burgess, was a British diplomat and double agent for the Soviet Union during the Cold War. Burgess is best known for his defection to the Soviet Union along with fellow spy Donald Maclean in 1951, which became known as the Burgess and Maclean Affair.
