Gyula Horn served as Prime Minister of Hungary from 1994 to 1998. He was a member of the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP) and was elected prime minister after the MSZP won the 1994 Hungarian parliamentary election. Horn was a supporter of economic reform and privatization, and during his time in office, Hungary made significant progress towards economic integration with the European Union.
