Hakeem Olajuwon began his NBA career with the Houston Rockets in 1984. He was drafted by the Rockets with the first overall pick in that year's draft. Olajuwon played for the Rockets for 17 seasons, leading them to two NBA championships in 1994 and 1995. He was a 12-time NBA All-Star and was named the NBA Finals MVP in both of the Rockets' championship victories.
