Hank Greenberg was born Hyman Greenberg in New York City. He was a Jewish American baseball player who played in Major League Baseball from 1930 to 1947. He is best known for his home run prowess, as he is considered one of the greatest sluggers in baseball history. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1956.
