Hans-Joachim Marseille was a German fighter ace of the Luftwaffe during World War II. He flew most of his missions over North Africa, where he scored the majority of his 158 victories. He was known for his aggressive flying style and his ability to outmanoeuvre his opponents. Marseille was killed in a flying accident in 1942.
