He was an actor, comedian, and filmmaker best known for his roles in "Ghostbusters" (1984) and "Groundhog Day" (1993), as well as for directing the films "Caddyshack" (1980) and "National Lampoon's Vacation" (1983). He was also a member of the original "Second City" comedy troupe.
