Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has been the head of Hezbollah since 1992, when he succeeded the assassinated Sayyed Abbas al-Musawi as leader of the group. Before Musawi, the first leader of Hezbollah was Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah, who was killed in a car bombing in 1985.
