Helen Glover MBE retired from rowing in 2016, after winning gold in the women's coxless pair at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. She and her rowing partner Heather Stanning had won gold at the previous two Olympics, in 2012 and 2008. Glover and Stanning are considered to be one of the most successful pairs in the history of rowing.
