Helena of Constantinople, also known as Saint Helena, was the mother of the Roman emperor Constantine the Great. She is best known for her pilgrimage to Jerusalem, during which she is said to have found the True Cross. She is venerated as a saint by both the Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Churches.
