Flavia Julia Helena (c. 250 – c. 330) was the Roman empress and mother of the Roman emperor Constantine the Great. She was born into a Roman noble family in Bithynia, and was married to Constantius Chlorus, a Roman general. After Constantius became emperor, Helena was elevated to the rank of empress. She was a devout Christian, and is credited with introducing Christianity to the Roman Empire.
