Grand Duke Henri, who is the reigning monarch of Luxembourg, moved the administrative seat of the Grand Ducal Court to Colmar-Berg in 2004. This was done in order to bring the court closer to the people of Luxembourg and to make it more accessible. The Grand Ducal Court is now located in a new palace in Colmar-Berg, which was built specifically for this purpose.
