Campbell-Bannerman remains the only person to date to hold the positions of Prime Minister and Father of the House at the same time. The Father of the House is the longest-serving member of the House of Commons. Campbell-Bannerman served as Prime Minister from 1905 to 1908 and was the Father of the House from 1895 to 1908. He is the only person to have held both positions simultaneously.
