In what year did Henry VI lose his wits, his two kingdoms and his only son?

  • 1471

  • 1462

  • 1469

  • 1470

Answer

Henry VI lost his wits in 1471. He was a weak king who was not able to control his nobles and was often bullied by them. This led to the Wars of the Roses, which were a series of civil wars fought between the houses of Lancaster and York. Henry lost his two kingdoms in 1471 when the Yorkist Edward IV defeated him at the Battle of Tewkesbury.
