Henry VI was born on 6th December 1421, in Windsor Castle. He was the only son of Henry V and Catherine of Valois, and became king of England at the age of nine months, following the death of his father at the Battle of Agincourt. Henry VI was a weak and ineffectual king, and his reign was marked by political instability and civil war.
