Hilary Mary Mantel (born 6 July 1952) is an English novelist and historian, best known for her Booker Prize-winning historical novels, Wolf Hall (2009), Bring Up the Bodies (2012), and The Mirror and the Light (2020), which together form a trilogy that tells the story of Thomas Cromwell, the chief minister to Henry VIII.
