Homare Sawa won eight domestic cup titles in the Japanese League, which is the highest number of any player. She won four consecutive titles with Nadeshiko Hiroshima between 2000 and 2003, and then won four more titles with INAC Kobe Leonessa between 2010 and 2013. Sawa is also the only player to have won the Japanese League MVP award four times, which she did in 2001, 2003, 2004, and 2006.
