Hubert Pierlot was a lawyer who served as the Prime Minister of Belgium during World War II. He was born in Namur, Belgium, in 1883, and studied law at the University of Louvain. After graduating, he began practicing law in Namur. In 1919, he was elected to the Belgian Chamber of Deputies, and he served as the Minister of Justice from 1921 to 1925.
