Answer
Over 800 missionaries were sent to China by the China Inland Mission (CIM). Founded in 1865 by Hudson Taylor, the CIM focused on reaching the inland provinces of China, where Western missionaries had not yet ventured. The missionaries, motivated by their faith and a desire to spread Christianity, played a significant role in introducing Christianity to China and establishing churches, schools, and hospitals throughout the country.
