Born in 1984, Hugo Almeida is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a striker. He began his career with União de Leiria, before moving to Porto in 2004. Almeida has also played for Werder Bremen, Beşiktaş, and most recently, AEK Athens. At the international level, he has represented Portugal at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2012 UEFA European Championship.
