Hun Sen is a Cambodian politician who has been the Prime Minister of Cambodia since 1985. He is the longest-serving non-royal head of state in Southeast Asia. Sen is a former member of the Khmer Rouge, but he defected from the group in 1979 and became a member of the People's Republic of Kampuchea, which was backed by Vietnam.
