Ravensbrück was a Nazi concentration camp for women located north of Berlin. It was established in 1939 and was used to house political prisoners, including Jews, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Roma. The camp was also used to train female SS guards, including Irma Grese. Grese was one of the most brutal camp guards and was known for her sadistic treatment of prisoners.
