Answer
Edward II was king of England from 1307 to 1327. He was married to Isabella of France, but they had a difficult marriage. Edward II was often unfaithful to Isabella, and he favored the Despenser family over her. In 1326, Isabella and Roger Mortimer, 1st Earl of March, invaded England with an army and forced Edward II to abdicate. Isabella then became regent for her son, Edward III.
