Answer
Turner taught perspective at the Royal Academy in London from 1840 to 1845. He had a great interest in the subject and believed that it was essential for all artists to understand how to create the illusion of depth on a two-dimensional surface. He taught his students how to use linear perspective, aerial perspective, and chiaroscuro to create realistic and believable images.
