Jack Lynch played hurling with the Cork senior inter-county team for 14 years. He made his senior debut in 1950 and his last appearance was in 1964. During his time on the team, Cork won three All-Ireland titles, four Munster titles and two National Hurling League titles. Lynch was also selected on the Munster inter-provincial team on nine occasions and won six Railway Cup medals.
