The Sandbar Fight was a gunfight between the Texas Rangers and the Comanches in 1827. It was one of the first battles between the two groups and helped to establish the Rangers as a force to be reckoned with. The fight took place on the banks of the Guadalupe River, near present-day Seguin, Texas.
