Jamling Tenzing Norgay was born on April 23, 1965 in Darjeeling, India. He is a Nepalese mountaineer and the son of Tenzing Norgay, the first man to summit Mount Everest. Jamling Tenzing Norgay has climbed Everest twice, in 1996 and 2005. He has also climbed other major peaks, including K2 and Kangchenjunga. In addition to his mountaineering career, Jamling Tenzing Norgay is also an author and an environmental activist.
