Jan Oblak made his senior international debut for Slovenia in 2012. He was called up to the squad for the 2012–13 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying matches against Denmark and Hungary, but did not play. He made his senior debut in a friendly match against Belarus on 14 August 2012.
