Charlotte Corday was executed four days after she assassinated Jean-Paul Marat. Corday was a Girondin who was outraged by the Reign of Terror and Marat's role in it. She traveled to Paris and stabbed Marat in his bathtub on July 13, 1793. She was arrested and executed four days later, on July 17.
