Jean Ross was a British communist, writer and political activist. She was a member of the Communist Party of Great Britain from 1927 to 1956. She was also a member of the International Brigades during the Spanish Civil War. Ross was born in London in 1907. She worked as a shop assistant and joined the Communist Party of Great Britain in 1927.
