Jerome Bruner received his PhD from Harvard University in 1941. He did not attend Duke University. Bruner's PhD dissertation was titled "The Perception of Relations" and was supervised by psychologist Gordon Allport. After graduating from Harvard, Bruner taught at Oxford University and the University of Michigan before returning to Harvard in 1952.
