Jhené Aiko is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. She was born in Los Angeles, California, to a Japanese mother and an African-American father. Aiko began her music career in 2003, when she signed with Epic Records. She released her debut album, "Souled Out", in 2006. The album was a commercial success, and Aiko was nominated for two Grammy Awards.
