Answer
The Cleveland Indians drafted Jim Thome with the 13th overall pick in the 1989 MLB draft. Thome, a first baseman and designated hitter, played for the Indians from 1991 to 2002 and again from 2011 to 2012. He was a five-time All-Star and won the AL Silver Slugger Award three times. Thome is considered one of the greatest hitters in Indians history.
