John Weldon Cale, better known as J. J. Cale, was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He was known for his laid-back, bluesy style and his distinctive vocals. Cale's songs have been covered by many artists, including Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Johnny Cash. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
