Answer
Pierre Trudeau was the Prime Minister of Canada from 1968 to 1979, and again from 1980 to 1984. In the 1979 elections, Trudeau's Liberal Party was defeated by Joe Clark's Progressive Conservative Party. Clark's minority government lasted only nine months, and in the 1980 elections, Trudeau was returned to power.
