Joe Donnelly, born in Massapequa, New York, is an American politician who served as a U.S. Senator from Indiana for one term, from 2013 to 2019. Prior to his time in the Senate, Donnelly held positions as an Indiana State Representative from 1992 to 1996, and as Indiana's 51st Lieutenant Governor from 2005 to 2013, serving alongside Governor Mitch Daniels.
