Who succeeded Johann Lamont as Scottish Labour leader?

  • Kezia Dugdale

  • Anas Sarwar

  • Jim Murphy

  • Jackie Baillie

Answer

Jim Murphy succeeded Johann Lamont as Scottish Labour leader in December 2014. Murphy, a Member of Parliament (MP) since 1997 and a cabinet minister under former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, was elected unopposed to the position after Lamont resigned in the wake of the party's poor performance in the 2014 Scottish independence referendum.
