In May 2012, British tennis player Johanna Konta switched her sporting allegiance from Australia to Great Britain. She was born in Australia to a Hungarian father and a British mother, and grew up in Australia. However, she moved to Britain in 2005 to train at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. In 2012, she was granted British citizenship and began representing Great Britain in international tennis events.
