Brian Lenihan was first elected to Dáil Éireann in 1969, at the age of 23. He was elected as a member of Fianna Fáil, and served in the Dáil until his death in 2011. Lenihan was a Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform from 2007 to 2011, and was also Minister for Finance from 2008 to 2011.
